The Gift of Chess Launches Distribution in Haiti

Recently, several chess-related activities were successfully carried out in Haiti thanks to the generous donation of chess sets from The Gift of Chess. Among the highlights were the St. Marc Inter-School Chess Championship, which brought together students from various schools in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere, and a training program for vulnerable children, which introduced many young participants to the game of chess while teaching them important values such as focus, respect, and perseverance.

These initiatives are part of the Haitian Chess Federation’s project "Jwèt Echek – Jwèt Lavi" ("Chess Game – Life Game"), which aims to use chess as a tool for education and social transformation. With the 400 donated sets, the Federation is expanding its presence in communities and increasing opportunities for children to learn, play, and grow.
